Reginald Martin aka Tychicus, a self-described healer and prophet, recently staged a one-man protest on Chelsea Avenue close to its intersection with Half-Way-Tree Road in Kingston. His issue? “Daggering” taking over the country.

Dancehall.Mobi recently defined Daggering as “a man and woman dancing in a sexually provocative manner, simulating various sexual positions, and often times, rough sex, to the beat of whatever music is playing at the time.“

Martin says however that you should say “Yes To Sex and No To Daggering”. He said daggering is done from behind in such a way that it can be damaging to women. He said sex has positive connotations, but daggering is all about damage and destruction. He also had a cardboard placard which said “Daggering is back stabbing. It is a killer. Stop it now before it is too late.”
