Gyptian Issues Statement Regarding Alleged No Shows
Dancehall.Mobi news update – dancehall / reggae singer has issued a statement addressing various rumors and allegations that have been circulating regarding him being a no show at several shows in the U.S. for which he was allegedly booked.
The statement reads: “Someone in New York who was never a part of my management team, someone who we stated on MySpace since March 2009 is not associated with my career, has been going around manipulating people. He has been collecting money from promoters for shows knowing that I know nothing about them and that I wouldn’t be there. Amounts ranging from $1,500 to $8,000 in some cases. People have been calling me about flyers that they see me on from New York to Boston. Shows this man is going around booking, that my company, Jus1 Productions know nothing about.
The shows with Warrior King are all legit. Jus1 Production is the company to call with regards to any bookings for me. What gets me is, when some of these promoters want to book shows they call this man who a fraud them, but when things get bad and they realize that they just lost their money, they suddenly find mine and Jus1 number. Why didn’t they call Jus1 in the first place? I apologize for all the misunderstanding this person has caused. I also apologize to my fans, but assure you that I had nothing to do with these fraudulent bookings. I have been getting a bad rap because of all of this and would like my name cleared. Sometimes people have to be careful and not be so quick to judge an artist. Sometimes we have no clue what some of these unscrupulous people are up to.“
