The annual West Kingston Jamboree in Tivoli Gardens, is understood by most to be a ‘daylight event’. It’s almost guaranteed to go on til’ the break of day. Yet, a Gleaner report earlier this afternoon indicates that the police high command are probing the circumstances under which this year’s West Kingston Jamboree, which was held on Sunday night, was allowed to go on until daybreak Monday morning; meanwhile the police are vigorously enforcing the Noise Abatement Act for events in other areas of Kingston and across the island.

This year’s West Kingston Jamboree was particularly significant, as longtime rivals Mavado and Vybz Kartel shared the stage there together for the first time in several years, as they took the first step towards ending their long-running feud.
