Raine SevilleDancehall.Mobi special update – up & coming dancehall / reggae singer singer Raine Seville is gearing up to lend a helping hand with two events organized by the ‘One Touch Charity’ foundation this week.

As Christmas draws closer, singer Raine Seville is anticipating her involvement in the two events scheduled by the charity for this Saturday, December 19. The One Touch Charity was officially formed in April of this year through the efforts of Raine and her best friend Sophronia McKenzie (the Charity’s acting President), and aims to touch the lives of children in four essential ways: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Raine explained, “Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children, teenagers, and young adults in Jamaica. We plan to do this by tackling the cause of poverty and injustice by providing them with the essentials needed to obtain an education; maintain a healthy life style; and enhance the realization of their full potential.

Having held two events for the year, the ‘Touch a Life – Developing Self-Confidence’ at the Wortley Children’s Home and ‘Back to School Day’ at the Maxfield Park Children’s Home, where the celebrities spoke to the children, performed, played games and gave donations, Raine is ready for the next two events. This Saturday, December 19th, One Touch Charity will host the ‘Just a Touch’ Drive at the Maxfield Park Children’s Home and ‘Santa’s Wish List’ at the Church of God’s Girls Home.

‘Just a Touch’ requests donations of items including food and clothes, while ‘Santa’s Wish List’ will be a concert from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. featuring herself, along with I-Shawna, Bugle, D’Angel, Craig Jackson from Voicemail, Fame FM’s DJ Nicco, selectors Buncoline and Chromatic, footballer Luton Shelton, Miss Jamaica Tourism 2009 Rebecca Silvera, dancer Mystic, DJ Nas, ZJ Chrome, Candy from ZIP FM and others. Kudos to Raine Seville and others involved in these notable efforts.
