Dancehall.Mobi special update – below is the confirmed scheduled of VP Records/Greensleeves releases for January 2010.
Ghetto Riddim – release date: January 12, 2010. Kemar ‘Flava’ McGregor’s “Ghetto” riddim will be the latest album in the Riddim Driven series. It wil feature 15 new vocal tracks from some of reggae’s top artistes, and also includes an instrumental track from Kemar. The infectious guitar hook and stripped down riddim sets a vintage groove for a new sound in roots reggae. Feature tracks include “Unfair” by Peetah Morgan featuring Busy Signal, “Inna De Garrison” by Italian singer Alborosie and “Mocking Bird” by Etana.

Sugar Minott – Reggae Legends – release date: January 12, 2010. For the first time on CD, this Reggae Legends box set contains all four Sugar Minott albums that were recorded for legendary 80s producer George Phang. This box set is packed with classics from the legendary Sly & Robbie.
These are said to be four of Sugar Minott’s most loved 80s albums. Shabba Ranks – Reggae Legends – release date: January 12, 2010. Greensleeves Records is releasing four classic albums from dancehall / reggae superstar, Shabba Ranks. This is a must-have Reggae Legends box set. It includes four iconic sets recorded for the top Jamaican production teams of Bobby Digital, Gussie Clarke & Two Friends.
Shabba Ranks remains one of Jamaica’s top dancehall / reggae artistes, and the definitive works collected here, led to him signing a world-wide deal with Sony Records. The four original albums collected together in reproduction sleeves give an extensive overview of Shabba Ranks successful hit-making career. Street Team Riddim – release date: January 19, 2010. Fire Links’ “Street Team” riddim was one of the hottest dancehall riddims for 2009. The hard hitting, synth-driven track is the perfect backdrop for the various vocal attacks from the likes of Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Ding Dong and other. Standout tracks include “Mocking Bird” from Mavado, “Something Ah Go Happen” by Vybz Kartel and “Street Team” by Ding Dong. The album also includes the Streat Team riddim instrumental.

Sizzla – Crucial Times – Greensleeves Records present the return of Sizzla Kalonji on January 19, 2010. “Crucial Times” features numerous undiscovered Sizzla tracks from the producer who gave him his name. “Crucial Times” presents 13 stellar collaborations from producer Homer Harris and dancehall legend Sizzla Kalonji. Compiled from sessions throughout their over 15 year association, these specially selected tracks chronicle the relationship of the young artiste and musical mentor, and demonstrate the creative fire of one of dancehall / reggae’s most influential voices. The CD package includes; song lyrics, rare photos and an essay by Michelle Geister detailing the early working relationship of Sizzla and Harris.
