Portmore-based up & coming recording artiste Mike Pelpa (real name – Michael Augustus Lynch) reportedly died earlier this week, just off the coast of the U.S. According to a report in the Star newspaper, Pelpa was among a group of men who took a boat from The Bahamas and tried to enter the United States illegally. The men are said to have jumped from the boat in a bid to escape the US Coast Guard, but Lynch drowned. The full Star news item can be viewed here.
