Louie Culture Shot & Injured
Popular 1990s dancehall deejay Louie Culture (real name – Lewin Brown), who resides in the Windsor Forrest area of Portland, was reportedly shot and injured at approximately 1:30 this afternoon, during an incident in the Priestman’s River area of Portland. The operator of a tyre shop – Anthony Taylor – was also shot in the incident.
According to reports, Louie Culture and Taylor were seated in front of Taylor’s tire shop in Priestman’s River, Portland when a Subaru motor vehicle drove up, and a man alighted from the car. The man reportedly pulled a gun and fired several shots in the direction of the men. Louie Culture was shot twice in the left arm, while Taylor was grazed on his right thigh. The gunman escaped in the waiting vehicle, and both injured men were rushed to the Port Antonio hospital where they were treated and released.
Louie Culture was released from police custody just last week Friday, after he was held and questioned by the police for several days, about a recent shooting incident at Hartford in Portland. The police say his car was involved in the shooting incident, and theorize that today’s shooting was in reprisal for that incident.
